Major Grant Success for SBSC!

Earlier this year the committee submitted a grant application for assistance with our safety boat replacement program. I am please to announce that the Tasmanian Government has approved our application and the club is the recipient of $43,000 from the Major Grants Program. This money will assist the club with the purchase of two new 4.2m RIBs, the new 5.8m VSR, motor replacement for mark boat two and up-sizing the motor on the Hutton RIB.

Undoubtedly, the coaching programs we have in place and our sailors subsequent success on the water have contributed toward the success of the grant and I would like to thank everyone involved, in particular all of the sailors who represent our club so very well at club, state, national and international level.

Prize Night
The Club AGM and Prize Night is scheduled for Saturday 14th May at the DSS. You can purchase your tickets online and we ask that everyone registers prior to Tuesday 10th May so that the DSS can prepare for numbers.
We Need a Treasurer!
Club Treasurer, Claire Goodfellow will be stepping down from the Treasurers role at the AGM and we need to find a suitable replacement. So if you are good with numbers and have a few hours to spare each week (during the season), then please let me know ASAP.
If you are unsure and would like to talk more about the Treasurer's role then please give me a call. The new Treasurer will be well supported by longer-serving members of the committee and Claire is available for a transfer of knowledge.
