Commodore's Message

This weekend is DSS Pennant Races 3&4 and Tillett Selection Races 7&8 and the forecast is looking good with winds fresh from the west at the moment.  Up to date provisional results have been posted on the website, thanks to Ric Buchannan and Katrina Fisher for their efforts getting these processed.

Next weekend is the PJ SUPER SERIES. Please remember you have to enter! No entry no race. The entry form is here: https://www.registernow.com.au/secure/Register.aspx?E=18862

I have noted that there has been an increased contribution by all members volunteering around the club. Thank you this is very much appreciated. With so many new members and volunteers I'd just like to remind everyone of some key club rules:
  • Safety/ patrol boats are to be manned by two capable adults. Passengers are NOT allowed including children. This is a safety issue in the event of rescue requirements.
  • Shore Patrol is the only person authorised to be in the tower during afternoon racing. Unauthorized guests can be very distracting to this important safety position. Children are prohibited from the tower at all times.
  • Dogs must be on leads at all times when at the club. Off lease at the beach is fine, but around the club we would appreciate dogs to be controlled on a lead.
  • Whilst private use opf club assets such as RIBS is allowed for club members, these must be booked in advance of any private use. We have an online system and if you feel you should have access please let me know.
Thanks
Angus Sprott - Commodore
