Co-op Toyota 56th National Heron Championships at Lindisfarne Sailing Club 27 December 2014 to 4 January 2015

Lindisfarne Sailing Club (LSC) is hosting the Co-Op Toyota 56th National Heron Championships between 27 December 2014 and 4 January 2015.

While we have a good pool of volunteers to help run the races and various activities, we are still short of some rescue boat crews and scribes for start and finish boats.

If anyone from SBSC would like to offer their services for a day or two in this period we would be extremely grateful. Please contact Bridget Hutton at SBSC on 0438 319 776 or Simon Olding at LSC on 0424 022 831.

National Pies 2014 Launceston to Hobart  Sat 27th December 2014

Dear fellow Skippers!
Christmas is near and each year the DSS is responsible for organising and hosting Tasmania’s longest offshore race. The National Pies 2014 Launceston to Hobart will start from Beauty Point on Saturday the 27th of December 2014. The race would not be possible without the great support of our sponsors and volunteers.
We would like to hear from any family and friends of crew involved in the race who are interested in helping out with the various volunteer roles. We would also like to hear from any individuals that have an interest in yachting who would like to volunteer their time over the Christmas break. Specifically, we are seeking volunteers for three key areas.
·        Volunteers for the L2H Race Information Centre at the docks,
·        Volunteers to assist in the DSS Radio Room,
·        Volunteers to assist with berthing the yachts at Elizabeth St Pier on their arrival.
The race starts on the morning of the 27th December 2014 and are expected to finish early in the morning on the 29th December 2014. There is work to be completed prior to the race start but most of our volunteer requirements are needed from.
·        Monday the 29th December,
·        Tuesday the 30th December,
·        Wednesday the 31st December.

If you are interested in assisting with the race we would like to hear from you.
Could you please contact me at steve@verdant.com.auor 0409311556 if you are keen to volunteer your time.

Yours faithfully,
Steve Chau

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
