Working Bee and Opening Day

Not long to go now until Opening Day on Saturday 20th September.
In preparation for Opening Day there will be a working bee/registration day to spruce up the club on Saturday 13th September, more details to follow.

Canteen Positions Vacant - Help Share the Load
Unfortunately no one has put up their hand to run the canteen for the coming season. Instead of having no Canteen, we have devised another plan whereby we share the load.

On sailing days we will be running two canteen shifts (8:30 am - 1:30 pm AND 1:00 pm - close of sailing), each having a Shift Co-Ordinator and a number of Canteen Helpers. If we have enough volunteers the teams can rotate on a regular basis sharing the load during the season.

We need volunteers for the following roles...
  • Shift Co-Ordinators
  • Canteen Helpers
  • A Canteen Roster Manager (to co-ordinate the weekly roster)
How to 'apply'...
  • Come to drinks on Friday 22nd August and put your name down for one of the roles
  • If you can't make it to drinks, email Jo Chau,
What's in it for you...
  • Meet other members
  • Learn new skills - there will be a Shift Co-Ordinator meeting soon and all Canteen Helpers will receive training
  • Have lots of fun
The success of our Canteen depends on your help and we thank you in anticipation.

Optimist and Tackers
The next TIODA training weekend will be Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2014 at Sandy Bay Sailing Club. Full registration details will follow shortly together with Squad Membership/Casual fees. Can you please reply by email indicating which day/s you may be attending so we can finalise coaches.
As we are outside of the club season, if we are to offer the services of the Canteen for the weekend we need volunteers.  If you are able to assist either 8.30am-1.30pm or 1.00pm - close of sailing, please email me. Unfortunately no volunteers no Canteen!

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
