Canteen News

There will be a few changes to the canteen this season.

We have a great team of rotating coordinators who will manage the canteen on Saturdays and we will have some new menu options spread across the season so stay tuned!

The canteen will close at 1330 on Saturdays. After sailing there will be toasted sandwiches, snacks and beverages available downstairs outside the training room. We encourage members to use Tabs rather than cash where possible.

A big thank you to Nick Nikataris from Hill Street who has kindly lent us a much needed freezer allowing us to store more food during the season.

Please visit the club's website to see who is rostered on each week - your name might be there. If it's not and you could spare a few hours on a Saturday please let Pip Cooper know on 0408 661 353. It's always been a great way to meet everyone, especially if you are new to the club. If you can't do your rostered duty, please arrange your own swap prior to the date.

Tasmanian International 420 Class

Please see notice of meeting for The Tasmanian International 420 Class Association, to be held 20/10/15 at the DSS at 1800.

Young sailors showing interest in the 420 Class and their parents are urged to attend the meeting.

Despite some views that the 420 Class is a ‘youth boat’, the Class provides fun and excitement for sailors outside the ‘youth age’. This invitation is extended to all sailors who have not sailed for a while and are outside the ‘youth age’ but would like to participate in an exciting, ‘quick planing’ boat - the 420 is just that.
