Winter regatta at Albert Park

by DYC

For the first time this year, Hansa boats were invited to take part in the annual Albert Sailing Club's Winter Regatta.

5 Hansa 303's from Docklands made the short trip to Albert Park Lake to be part of the event.

The lake's native weed proved a problem for the 303 centreboards, so they were quickly swapped for The Boatshed's 2.3 boards - which made the boats able to avoid getting stuck on the bottom.

Commodore Russell Phillips took out the overall win on a countback from Rear Commodore Christine Elliott

Thanks to Albert Sailing Club for the invitation to compete - hope to be back next year.
