The NSAFL was proud to host its first ever inter-provincial game of Aussie Rules under a sunny Nova Scotian sky on Saturday Oct. 5th at the Wanderers Grounds in Halifax. The game was a friendly match between the home town Halifax Dockers and the Toronto Dingos and the first of its kind ever played in Nova Scotia. The Dockers went into the game with a squad of 16 players all of whom are the direct result of a summer full of recruiting and promoting the game here in Halifax. The Dockers had their hands full from the moment the ball was bounced as the seasoned Dingo outfit quickly adjusted to the 9-a-side style of play and rugby size playing field.
The Dockers were able to hang with the Dingos for the first half, but, by the time the final siren sounded, the Dingos had shown why they finished Runner–Up in the OAFL this year.
