Peninsula Power have continued their stellar start to the year with a 5-0 win over Sunshine Coast at Kawana Sports Western Precinct on Sunday afternoon.

Power ran out of the blocks quickly with Jessica Davis stepping up to score from the spot following a Kirra Guy penalty.

From there, Power dominated with a further three goals scored prior to half-time, Brooke Barbuto posing a constant threat.

Fire went down to 10 men when an injury forced Guy from the field, but a much better defensive effort restricted Power to only the one goal in the second half.

Power return home to play South West Queensland Thunder next weekend, while Fire travel to Brisbane Olympic.
