Sharks To Step Out In Style

Palm Beach Kit

Words: Michael Flynn

Palm Beach SC have revealed a new playing kit for their looming Westfield FFA Cup match against South Melbourne FC as part of a new sponsorship deal.

The striking new design was revealed in tandem with an announcement that manufacturer Gorilla Sports has partnered with the club to also serve as front of shirt sponsor.

The new strip will feature the logo of the Gorilla Sports Gold Coast Champions Cup - an annual junior and youth tournament run by Gold Coast community club Mudgeeraba Soccer Club, who are part of Palm Beach SC’s designated PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues junior catchment.

The design, which is only a home kit at present, retains the Sharks’ predominantly light blue colours partnered with black shorts.

The unveiling follows an announcement earlier this week of a raft of new sponsors that will also emblazon the back and sleeves of the kit.

Palm Beach SC General Manager Rob Morris said the new design will make a bold statement in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32.

“It’s great to have Gorilla on board as our kit supplier and sponsor and people are sure to take notice of this latest incarnation of the Palm Beach colours,” Morris said.

“We are particularly pleased to be able to tie-in our FFA Cup participation with the Gorilla Sports Gold Coast Champions Cup. It demonstrates that while we are a club in our own right we also proudly represent the whole of the Gold Coast on the national stage.”

“As the only Gold Coast club in the National Premier Leagues, Palm Beach is proud to provide a pathway for talented players from the region to the very top levels of the game in Australia through our juniors and men’s and women’s teams.”

“We hope the entire Gold Coast community will come out and cheer us on against South Melbourne and show Australia what football on the Gold Coast is all about,” Morris concluded.
