Peninsula Power’s inaugural PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Senior Women’s and Girls teams will benefit from new dressing rooms facilities at A.J. Kelly Park in 2015.

The new facilities will include three new dressing rooms exclusively for the use of the club’s Women’s and Girls sides for both training and match-days.

Work is expected to commence on the new project in either February or March next year, with completion expected during the 2015 PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland season.

Funding for the project was received from the Queensland Government’s Get Playing programme and Moreton Bay Regional Council toward the total $153,000 cost of upgrades.

In a statement on the Peninsula Power website, Club President Craig Feuerriegel thanked government bodies for their support funding the project.

“We are delighted to receive the Get Playing grant and thank the Queensland Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council for supporting women’s sport, in particular football,” he said.

Peninsula Power are one of 12 inaugural PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Women’s licence holders for the 2015 season.

Last year the club’s senior women’s team competed in the South-East Queensland Women’s Premier League administered by Football Brisbane, finishing ninth in the fourteen team competition.
