Redlands Sneak One Past Thunder

 Redlands United FC got the better of The South West Queensland Thunder after scoring an early goal at Clive Berghofer Stadium.

Jake Sherwood headed a lofted pass home for the Red Devils in the sixth minute to put his 11th place side ahead against the ninth placed Thunder.

Majok Piok and Blair Ferguson showed signs of scoring for The Thunder, however Graham Fyfe’s performance was dominant for the Redlands after providing several attacking runs and a goal assist.

The Red Devils play the FNQFC Heat at Cleveland Showgrounds next Saturday, while Thunder take on Olympic.

5' - GOAL FOR REDLANDS Graham Fyfe lofts a ball into the Thunder 18 yard box which is headed over the Thunder Keeper by Jake Sherwood.

 17' - CHANNCE FOR THUNDER - Ball crossed into the Redlands 18 yard box by Bailey Salisbury, and is put over the crossbar by Majok Piok.

 32' - CHANCE FOR THUNDER - Blair Ferguson takes a snap shot from inside the Redlands 18 yard box which is put past the post by a diving Edgar.

 35' - CHANCE FOR REDLANDS - From a corner the ball is headed by a Redlands attacker that hits the Thunder crossbar. 

 37' - CHANCE FOR REDLANDS - Feli Sheriff has a shot after receiving a through ball, which is saved by Macdonald.

 40' - CHANCE FOR REDLANDS - Fyfe puts a ball through to Sheriff who takes the shot which is gloved past the Thunder post by a diving Macdonald.

 63' - CHANCE FOR THUNDER - Ball falls to Piok just outside the Redlands 18 yard box and he takes a shot which is comfortably saved by the Redlands Keeper.

 69' - CHANCE FOR REDLANDS - Sam Roper takes a run into the Thunder 18 yard box and takes a shot which is put over the bar by Luke Macdonald.

 82' - CHANCE FOR THUNDER - Jafari takes a shot from inside the Redland 18 yard box which cannons into the side netting of the Redlands goal.
