Deverell Claims 1st Macey Medal as Warners Bay Best & Fairest

Lachlan Deverell had to hold off a fast finishing Rob Schindler-Taylor to claim his first Macey Medal as the Best & Fairest player for Warners Bay.

Deverell, who relished his new role as a rebounding defender, defeated Schindler-Taylor by one vote. Jake Roach was in third position.

The win caps of an excellent year for Deverell who was also named in the Black Diamond AFL Team of the Year.

Di Crep capped of an amazing debut season of AFL, at the age of 45 by claiming the Women's Best and Fairest award whilst Chris Avery and Leo Vo tied for the Reserve Grade award in a thrilling finish which saw the top four players seperated by just two votes.

It was also a special night for wonderful contributors to the club with Leigh Anderson, Jason Watt, Virginia Turner and Julie Ferguson all awarded Life Membership of the club.
