Petrie to Make Guest Appearance for Panthers
Former AFL great Drew Petrie will make a guest playing appearance for Terrigal Avoca in their Round 16 match against Nelson Bay at Hylton Moore Oval on 28 July.
Petrie who played 316 AFL matches (300 with North Melbourne and 16 with West Coast Eagles) is mates with Terrigal Avoca Panther forward Matt Shortal, hence the connection for the guest appearance.
Since retiring from the AFL last year Petrie has made a guest appearance in 2018 with Ballarat with the Ballarat League and also Peacedale in the Mornington Peninsula NFL .
Petrie appearance will headline a big day for the Panthers as they celebrate "Panthers Day", a day dedicated to the entire club including past and present players and also their family members. There will a jumping castle for the kids whilst the club Auskickers will be playing an intra-club match during the half time break of the Black Diamond Cup clash.
It should be great day and the club invites all North Melbourne and West Coast supporters, as well as AFL followers in general to get to Hylton Moore Oval on July 28.
