NETBALL RESULTS-ROUND 4 – Wednesday 11 March
Spanakopita Vs hot shots
The mid court passing into the goal circle made the game a tough game for the
ladies, making them work for every pass, the ladies had to work really hard to
get the ball movement down the court to their attackers giving no time for rest.
Spanakopita 10, hot shots 23.
The boys made me do it Vs the magic wanderers
Mixed netball on court three, fast paced game and lots of energy shown from
both boys and girls tonight and defence are tight making it hard for the mid court
to get the ball into the goal circle and that really showed with the score being so
close at the end of the game. The boys made me do it 11, the magic wanderers
12.
Not fast, just furious Vs same same
First game of the night on court one in division 2 and the ladies are here to play,
the ball work up and down the court from defence to their attackers showed not
just on the court but on the score board. Not fast, just furious 22, same same 27
3192 Vs Goal diggers
Court two had a competitive game between the two teams, the shooting from
Goal diggers was just more consistent and they didn’t miss any goals, but the
team work throughout the whole game was outstanding the ladies where
cheering each other on the whole game never giving up. 3192 14,Goal diggers 27
Slowly Slowly Vs LINKS
Mixed division on court three and the teams had a close game not having much
in the score it was a tight game really making it hard for the players to get the
score on the board but both teams played their best and everyone came off the
court with red faces and smiles. Slowly Slowly 16, LINKS 11.
Rockstars V Jaguars
Ct 1- 7.50pm
A very exciting game of netball tonight on court one. After not scoring any goals in the first quarter, Rockstars made a comeback to even up the scores by half time. Unfortunately, this was not enough, allowing Jaguars to win with a score of 27 to 12. Well done to both teams and to Sarah Hedger for being awarded best on court.
The Unknowns V Interschool Sport
Ct 2 – 7.50pm
Well done to both teams for a great game of netball tonight! Both teams played extremely well and put in so much effort for the whole game. Well done to The Unknowns for winning with a great score of 34 goals to 7 for Interschool Sport. Best on court was awarded to Alyce Edwards from The Unknowns.
Sugma’s V Obstruction 2.0
Ct 3- 7.50 pm
Well done to both teams for a great game tonight. The game was very competitive with Obstruction 2.0 taking the lead in the first quarter, and then Sugma’s fighting back to take the win! Congratulations to Sugma’s for winning with a score of 28 to 18 and to Jack Mcdavitt for being awarded best on court.
Gulby’s V JEMS
Ct 1- 8.30pm
A great game on court one tonight between Gulby’s and JEMS. The game started off close with 4 goals each at quarter time, with both teams fighting for the ball evenly. JEMS started to break off in the third quarter, and managed to hold the lead until the end of the game. Well done to JEMS for winning with a score of 25 to 18 and to Kellie Dean from JEMS for being awarded best on court.
Seven Little Squids V TBA
Ct 2- 8.30pm
Well done to both teams tonight for a great game of netball. Although the scores were relatively low, both teams showed tremendous spirit and netball skills throughout the whole game. Congratulations to both temas and to Julia Behrens for being awarded best on court. The final score was 14 goals for Seven Little Squids and 7 goals for TBA.
The Pelicans V Put That In Your Pipe
Ct 3- 8.30pm
A magnificent game from The Pelicans tonight, smashing the game with a score of 36 points to 4 for Put That in Your Pipe. Although the scores may not show it, all players seemed to have had a great time playing this tonight! Well done to Joel Hoshen from The Pelicans for being awarded best on court and to both teams on their efforts in tonight’s game.
Lunachicks V Dee-Termined
Ct 1 – 9.10pm
A very exciting game tonight between Lunachicks and Dee-Termined. The scores were even at half time, with only three goals separation. With matching in netball skills strength, it was tough to guess who was going to take the win. Well one to Ash Haike from Dee-termined for being awarded best on court with her amazing ability to hold her ground in the ring. The final score was 36 points for Dee-Termined and 32 points for Lunachicks.
Bayside Ballers V Poppies
Ct 2- 9.10pm
Well done to Bayside Ballers and Poppies tonight for their great efforts. This was another close game with even scores at quarter and half time. After a great half time chat, Poppies came out stronger and one the game with a score of 18 to 11. Well done to Violet Davey for being awarded best on court.
Gators V Frochos
Ct 3- 9.10pm
Both teams started off this game with a bang, scoring 6 goals each in the first quarter! With each players being matched up perfectly, it was difficult for either team to gain the lead. Congratulations to Gators for coming back and wining with a score of 21 to 15 and to Hannah Rosenberg for being awarded best on court.
Extra-Mordinary V Joint Forces
Ct 2- 9.50pm
Well done to both teams for a great night tonight. Both teams played with great sportsmanship for the whole game, and all players seemed to be having fun on the court. Congratulations to both teams and to Eleanor Cowell for being awarded best on court. The final score was 23 goals for Joint Forces and 19 goals for Extra-Mordinary.
The Givens V Giant Herds
Ct 3- 9.50pm
A very competitive game on court three tonight between The Givens and Giant Herds. The scores were relatively even throughout the whole game, but Giant Herds managed to break away in the last quarter. Well done to Giant Herds for winning with a score of 19 to 17. Congratulations to both teams and to Kara Williamson for being awarded best on court.
