BVDL WEEK 6 GAME PREVIEWS

BVDL MEN

DANDENONG vs SANDRINGHAM

Saturday 28th April – 7:30pm

This is a make or break weekend for Sandringham, with two games against top four teams. Lose both and their chance of a finals berth may disappear.  Dandenong won their round 3 match by only 2pts so this could go down to the wire once again.

FRANKSTON vs BALLARAT

Saturday 28th April – 7:30pm

Both teams sit at the bottom of the ladder after inconsistent season starts.  Both teams have the potential to be higher on the ladder and will produce an exciting game of basketball this week.

KILSYTH vs BENDIGO

Saturday 28th April – 8:15pm

After a disappointing performance last weekend that saw the Cobras lose top position.  Cobras coach Rod Popp will be keen for a better showing on offence.

BENDIGO vs FRANKSTON

Sunday 29th April – 2:00pm

Frankston were unlucky against Dandenong last week and have the ability to score two victories this weekend and move up the league ladder.

KNOX vs DANDENONG

Sunday 29th April – 2:00pm

Having played the previous night, the Rangers will need a big game from their bench players as tiredness could be a factor for Dandenong.  If Patrick Mockiewicz plays for Knox, the Rangers will need a solid game from Biyendolo.

SANDRINGHAM vs NUNAWADING

Sunday 29th April – 2:30pm

On recent form the Spectres will go into this game as firm favourites.  But the Sabres are a better team than they have shown in recent weeks and have the potential to secure the win if they can put together a solid team performance.

BVDL WOMEN

DANDENONG vs SANDRINGHAM

Saturday 28th April – 5:30pm

Sandringham put up a good show against Knox last week only losing by 2pts.  If Shannon Perret can produce another quality offensive game the Sabres may have a chance of getting the unlikely win.

FRANKSTON vs BALLARAT

Saturday 28th April – 5:45pm

Lady Blues Chatfield & Swaine have been consistent performers this season.  If they produce another solid game Frankston will be hard to beat.

KILSYTH vs BENDIGO

Saturday 28th April – 6:15pm

Having secured their first win of the season last week the Young Lady Braves will enter this game full of confidence.

BENDIGO vs FRANKSTON

Sunday 29th April – 12:00pm

With both teams playing the previous night, the team with the bigger impact from its bench players should win this game.

KNOX vs DANDENONG

Sunday 29th April – 12:00pm

After two heart stopping 2pt victories over bottom four teams last week, coach Rob Baldwin will welcome the return of experienced players May, Schill and Thompson for the Grand Final re-match.  Dandenong has a 19.5pt average winning margin this year including a 21pt win over Knox in round 4 already this season.

SANDRINGHAM vs NUNAWADING

Sunday 29th April – 12:30pm

Nunawading need to keep winning games if they want to stay in contention for a top two finish this season.  This is a game they should win.
