NEWS: FFA launches parental education program for parents of ALDI MiniRoos kids

FOOTBALL Federation Australia (FFA), in conjunction with ALDI and leading sport parenting expert from Flinders University Dr Sam Elliott, has launched a parental education program for parents of kids in the ALDI MiniRoos program.

The aim of the work is to provide parents with information about the following three areas:

1)    How to provide positive feedback to your child

2)    How volunteering at your club will encourage your child to continue playing

3)    How to be a good touchline supporter.

Dr Elliot (pictured) has close to a decade’s experience of research work into how parents can best interact with their children to encourage a positive sporting experience.

In the series of videos produced by FFA and ALDI, he outlines how parents can provide a supportive role to their child as they get to grips with the game.

He also offers tips on how to be the perfect touchline supporter as well as exploring the benefits for children to get involved in football at their local club.

The posts are being supported with three paid Facebook/Instagram posts and an infographic.
