NEWS: Bell Park SC sets up high performance Football Technical Development group

BELL Park SC is a club going places. And just how serious it is about taking the club’s football department and pathway development to a whole new professional level was demonstrated recently by the establishment of a new Football Technical Development group by the Club’s Board last month.

The four member group consists of long time club members Rob Saba, John Karounos, Neil Atkinson and Michael Spasevski.

According to Bell Park club president Rose Pirrottina (pictured), the Football Technical Group members have extensive experience as both football coaches and committee members of various Geelong Football committees.

“We have asked the Technical Development Group to develop and present a football strategy paper to the Board,” said Pirrottina.

“The strategy paper will address several important key football outcomes for the Club, such as defining the organisational structure to manage football activities and outcomes for the club, as well as define roles and responsibilities required to achieve these football outcomes,” she said.

According to Pirrottina, the Group will also look to implement Player development  programs and training guides to support player development, as well as Coaching development programs and coaching tool kits to improve the quality of coaching across the club.

“Another key outcome will be the Senior Team strategies and our focus on achieving continued success at Senior level through promotion.

“The aim is to start rolling out the proposed initiatives over the coming off season and in readiness for next season. These are indeed exciting times for Bell Park Sports Club!” concluded the Bell Park president, Rose Pirrottina.
