Registration is now open for KHBA Junior Spring Roster

Player and Team Registrations are now open for the 2021 KHBA Junior Spring Roster.

Spring Roster is a great way:

  • to have some fun playing with your friends.
  • for school teams to prepare for the Regional School Championships in Oct/Nov.
  • for aspiring Kings players to get ready for next year.

If you would like to play but don’t have a team yet, you can register as an individual player and we will try to place you in a team. See instructions below in the Registration section to do this.

The competition will start in the week beginning 23 August 2021. The first few weeks will be for grading and during this time new teams can still enter if there is room in the competition.

The competition will run for 12 weeks (excluding school holidays) plus 2 weeks of finals which will take it to the second week in December.

For the Spring roster we have reverted to grade groupings. This has several advantages:

  • It means grade 5 players are playing against grade 6 players rather than grade 3 players.
  • It is easier for most schools to organise.
  • For aspiring Kings players it gets them used to playing against the players they will play next year.

  • While every attempt will be made to run separate girls competitions this will depend on the number of team entries.

Cost

New players need to pay the annual registration. This will $35 for U12 and $60 for U14 and above. This is paid when players register to their team. Annual registration includes insurance cover and affiliation fees for Basketball Australia, Basketball Tasmania and KHBA. If players are in a Kings team or played in the Summer Roster they will have already paid this.

Each game costs $65 per team. This will be invoiced, with the first $325 being invoiced after the first 3 games.

In Summary:

  • Starts week beginning Monday 23 August
  • Runs for 12 weeks (excluding school holidays)
  • High School age groups on Mondays (grade 7/8, 9/10)
  • Primary School age groups on Tuesdays (grade 3/4, 5/6)
  • Cost is $65/team for each game, plus player registration for new players
  • Players can register as an individual if they are looking for a team.
