Plummer points way to victory

Congratulations to Firebirds on their undefeated season and also congratulations to Laura Geitz on winning the ANZ Holden car. It’s a great feat for both team and player and certainly not easy to achieve in this great ANZ Competition.

Watching the game on television, you could just feel the team supporting one another on court. Amy Steel and Laura Geitz have been instrumental in the Firebirds’ winning performances, taking on all shooting lines of ANZ opposition teams this season, while at the other end Natalie Medhurst has improved her personal game by developing her defensive pressure through the mid-court. But we have to also give credit where it’s due and that is to Romelda Aiken; she is such a target for the Firebirds and she delivers results with those beautiful long arms pulling in spectacular balls – I hope we see more of that in Monday night’s Semi-final against Magic on the Gold Coast.
