Player Rotation spreadsheets for Coaches of Year 3-8

If you're a primary level coach who would appreciate a little help on how to work out fair player rotations to adhere with Junior Netball Satellite requirements then the attached spreadsheets may be of help to you.

At Year 3&4 (5-a-side netball) and Year 5&6 (6-a-side netball) it is recommended that players be rotated in order to allow them fair exposure and learning in each of the A, C, & D positions.

Come Year 7&8 (7-a-side netball) it is okay to have a preference for a certain area of the court however as a coach please remain mindful that age and stage will bring about changes in height, speed, and coordination.  These changes also vary between boys and girls therefore to aid growing children it is wise to enable players to be exposed to different positions where possible.  By the end of the season they may express a preference yet especially when moving from the 6-a-side to 7-a-side game, it's all about exploration and learning the boundaries of the new, more defined on-court roles during the 7-a-side game.

All you need to do is download the relevant spreadsheet with respect to the number of players in your team, enter your player names on Tab 1 and let the automatic formulas do the rest.

5-a-side game options for 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 players per team.
6-a-side game options for 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 players per team.
7-a-side game options for 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 players per team.

All the best for a smooth season of player rotations ahead!
