Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th September 2019

Super Sixes - Hastings is an annual event on the national interschool sports calendar which first begain in 2016.  It’s a chance for your Year Six students to let off some steam and take part in their favourite team sports and socialise with their peers all in a fun and exciting environment in the sunny Hawke’s Bay.

Eight sporting codes on offer:
Netball
Tag Rugby
Football
T-Ball
CycloCross
Ki o Rahi
Hockey
Basketball

The Super Sixes is about team sports
Children learn so much from being in a team - friendship, cooperation and team skills, respect for team mates, opponents and officials.  A decision was made to go away from individual sports and add more team event.

By also condensing the Super Sixes to two days, and having all of the sports based at the Hawke's Bay Regional Sports Park, this adds to the feeling of excitement as the children can easily go and cheer on other games.

Celebrating is important
A big bang opening ceremony and a closing ceremony starting immediately after the team relays which includes celebration, food and fun!

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
