Western Victoria Livestock Exchange Sponsor HFNL U18.5 Competition
AFL Western District and the Western Victoria Livestock Exchange (WVLX) have today announced a new three-year partnership agreement until the end of the 2020 season.
The new arrangement, effective immediately, gives WVLX naming rights to the Hampden Football Netball League Under 18.5 competition, as well as advertising opportunities across the Warrnambool and District, Mininera and District and South West District Football Netball Leagues.
AFL Western District Senior Operations Manager Brad Pole said the new agreement is a great fit for both parties, given WVLX is located so centrally in this region.
“They’ve built a world class facility in Mortlake and we’re very pleased that they’re supporting the local community through grassroots footy,” Mr Pole said.
WVLX Manager Tim Nowell said they were excited to be announcing a multi-year partnership on the eve of the 2018 AFL season.
“WVLX is strongly committed to supporting regional youth, and we’re looking forward to doing that through an existing arrangement with the Country Education Foundation, as well as through this new partnership with AFL Western District.”
“This area has a rich footballing heritage and we are thrilled to be supporting grassroots football and young people from the Western District through the Hampden League U18.5 competition.”
The regional saleyards, which is the third largest livestock exchange in Australia, holds its prime cattle markets every Monday at 9am and store sales on the second Thursday of the month, under a roof the size of the MCG.
