Deakin Reserve will come alive for the GVL Grand Finals this Sunday 24 September as the final games of football and netball in the region will determine the 2017 Premiership winners.
This year’s event will also see the return of Goulburn Valley favourite Nicky Pummeroy to sing the national anthem prior to the Senior football and A Grade netball Grand Finals.
As a new initiative for the GVL, GOTAFE and It’s Party Time Jumping Castles will team up to present a specially designed kids zone play area, in parkland on the corner of Harold and Nixon Street. The kids zone will be a mini carnival in its own right featuring jumping castles, face painting, clowns, snow cones and other entertainment.
Gates open at 7:30am for the biggest day in the Goulburn Valley sporting calendar. Admission prices are adults $15, aged and invalid pensioners $6, children (14-17) $6 and children (under 14) free. A larger souvenir edition Triple M Weekender will also be available, packed with plenty of photos and information, for $5.
