Football
Shepparton United will be keen to make a statement when it returns to the home of football to take on a red hot Euroa.
The Demons were completely out-played and out-classed by one of the best teams in country football at the minute and one of the best to ever grace the Goulburn Valley League arenas.
Euroa come to Deakin Reserve with some intent of walking away with the four points.
It is a place that has proven happy hunting ground over the journey for the Magpies.
This is a game that coach, James Hayes knows they must win.
But he will be mindful that the Demons do have some talent on their list including ruckman Shane Neaves, Benjamin Bingham, Luke Lowden, Daniel Bowles and Hawthorn premiership player Matt Spangher.
They also have some highly talented youngsters, who on their day can punish you if you allow them too much time with the football.
Adam Tarrant, Rohan Bail, Jacob Gleeson and Marcus Varley were some of the team’s stars in their hard fought win over the Lions last weekend.
Tip: Euroa.
Netball
Shepparton United will be eager to forget about last weekend’s disappointment when it hosts Euroa in a big game for both teams.
The Demons are likely to take in a much stronger team today to the one that took the court at Kyabram.
Kirsty Hommes and Bree Hanslow were two of the regulars who tried hard last weekend.
Euroa scored a win over the re-building Lions and two of the stars of that win in Megan O’Bree and Jenna Raglus will be looking to continue their good form against the Demons.
Tip: United.
