Tackling Illegal Drugs (TID) Program

All clubs are invited to join the Tackling Illegal Drugs (TID) Program, an initiative run by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation’s Good Sports program.  The program helps clubs become better prepared to address drug-related issues.

Illegal drug use is widespread and can affect any sports club. With over 40% of Aussies over the age of 14 having tried an illegal substance, chances are, somebody at your club has been touched by this issue.

Our league has been given a great opportunity to strengthen our clubs and community by participating in the TID Program, and we would like all clubs to take part in it.

 How does it work?

Good Sports will work with clubs to develop and implement an illegal drugs policy. All resources and support will be provided. The program starts with a forum held at:

 Shepparton Bears Football Netball Club

Deakin Reserve, Shepparton on 11th of October from 6.30pm

For more information about the program, please visit the Good Sports website.

We’re proud to be supporting the Tackling Illegal Drugs Program and look forward to seeing all of our clubs complete the program.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
