Harbord Diggers joins Manly Touch
Manly Warringah Touch Association are excited to announce that Harbord Diggers, which re opens its doors today, have joined Manly Touch as its major partner for the next three years.
Manly Warringah Touch Association (MWTA) would like to acknowledge the outstanding contribution made to the Club by our outgoing President, Graham Knights, and thank him for his leadership over the last four years as President and prior to this, three years as Vice President.
The MWTA Executive Committee would like to formally thank Graham for his never-ending commitment and personal investment he has bought to the role as President.
Graham’s contribution has been immeasurable. During his tenure we have seen enormous growth in our local competition participant numbers, in particular the juniors where we are now at full capacity with 260 teams competing on a Friday afternoon.
During Graham’s time on the Executive we have also experienced enormous success at a representative level being the Senior State Cup Club Champions five of the last seven years and Junior State Cup Club Champions seven from seven years.
However, it is the behind the scenes work that not many of the members get to see that we should be truly thankful for, such as the implementation of a new constitution, introduction of a post-Christmas junior competition, the major steps we have taken to secure a club house, the endless meetings with Council, NSWTA, TFA and other key stakeholders to ensure the Club is run in an efficient manner.
Graham has been integral to the important advances we have made as a Club and we are certainly in a very healthy position on and off the field.
We will still see Graham around Manly Touch either playing and/or coaching some of our junior representative teams.
But for now, MWTA would like to wish Graham and his family all the very best for the future.
