The winter season Men’s, Women’s and Mixed divisions will begin on Monday 10th April. The draw for the winter competitions will be posted mid next week.
We have had a restructure in the administration area of the club. The Competition Manager role has been removed and replaced with a Grounds Supervisor and the administration component of the competitions will be overseen by the MWTA Administration Manager.
The Grounds Supervisor will only be looking after the actual ground level stuff of the competitions. Including setting up the fields for play, line marking of fields, competition sign on desk, running of games, coordination of referees, etc.
The new expanded position of MWTA Administration Manager, filled by Lara Long, will be the first point of call for all things regarding the Manly Warringah Touch Association competitions. For all inquiries, draws, results, forfeits, registrations etc. please contact Lara Long on firstname.lastname@example.org . We are extremely excited to appoint Lara in this position and she brings a wealth of administration and event management experience to the role.
MWTA believes the above club administration changes will better help our club to continue to grow in both participation numbers and our ability to respond to our member’s needs.
MWTA would like to thank Jill Zochling for her time as the MWTA Administration Manager. Jill worked tirelessly in this position for 2 years and was the backbone of the club ensuring the club ran smoothly. Jill has moved onto a full time position and we are sad to see her go. From everyone at MWTA we wish her the best in her new endeavours.
MWTA would also like to thank Scott Collins for his time as the Competition Manager of MWTA.
