Eltham Tournament Round Up.....

Eltham Dandenong Tournament

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of our teams that competed in the Eltham Dandenong Tournament over the Australia Day Weekend. As we know it is a tough weekend travelling from one venue to another but it was fantastic seeing the support shown from the entire club at all games.

During the tournament our Under 18/1 Boys were lucky enough to be in the same pool as the visiting American team and once again the support from the Pacer family was incredible. Although the boys went down, the experience gained by playing against a side like this was invaluable.

We, as a club, were pleased with our results over the weekend. We had 11 teams make semi-finals and 4 sides compete in the grand final. We were unable to win one of these Grand Finals but all teams showed fantastic sportsmanship and fought the game until the end.

We also had 6 teams competing in A grade with all 6 teams having a win and proving more than competitive against sides already qualified in VC.

These results are fantastic and have improved from previous years so as a club we are taking this as a positive step forward.

We would like to congratulate our Grand Finalist MVP’s Matthew Zonta Under 14/1 Boys & Caitlyn McLeod Under 20/1 Girls.

I would like to wish all Pacer teams’ good luck with the next round of grading games.
