Basketball NSW is pleased to announce the winners of the Youth Player of the Year & Rookie of the Year awards for 2022 Coles Express NBL1 East & Spalding Waratah League.

The Youth and Rookie Player of the Year awards are determined by votes from the Head Coach of each team in these divisions. Voters were not permitted to vote for members of their own team.

We would like to congratulate all the award winners below on a superb season. 

Youth Player of the Year
NBL1 East Men: William Cranston-Lown – Maitland Mustangs
NBL1 East Women: Chyra Evans – Newcastle Falcons 

Rookie Player of the Year
Waratah 1 Youth Men: Mitchell Smith – Hills Hornets
Waratah 1 Youth Women: Alana Reddy – Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
Waratah 2 Youth Men: Majak Boc – Maitland Mustangs

We would like to invite all our award recipients to attend this weekend’s finals presentation. An invitation will be sent to each association with details on how to collect your ticket and when you will be presented your award.
