Manuel Minginfel a Current Weightlifting Star

Yukio and Manuel

Manuel "The Little Big Man" has established himself as a talented lifter following in the footsteps of Marcus Stephens. Manuel is considered to be the "hope" of the Pacific to win a medal in  weightlifting at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. He has represented the Federated States of Micronesia to the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games

Dubbed as "arguably the best weight for age lifter in the region" Manuel has won a silver medal at the 2006 World Weightlifting Championship which was held in Santo Domigo. Manuel is also a multiple gold medalists at the 2003 & 2007 South Pacific Games. With all his accomplishments in the last 8 years Manuel is definitely a "current" star and a great role model for our younger athletes. Picture: Yukio of Nauru & Manuel

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
