At Drummoyne, Balmain continued on their winning ways with the early morning match at Drummoyne Oval defeating UNSW Stingrays 18.13.121 to 0.1.1. Belinda Pride with 8 goals. The 3rd quarter was most impressive for the Dockers with 7 goals.
Sydney University Bombers defeated the Western Wolves 15.10.100 to 1.2.8 with Amelia Dever Kavanagh with 5 goals.
Newtown Breakaways narrowly defeated Southern Power 3.2.20 to 0.0.0. With the Breakaways having a few players out, the Power had some stout resistance.
Pool B Matches (Wollongong, Macquarie University, Auburn, Bondi)
At North Dalton Park, Wollongong - the Wollongong Saints boosted with some NSW Youth Girls who were in contention for National Youth Girls championship selection defeated the Auburn Tigers 5.8.38 to 1.7.13. Sophie Lavender with 2 goals.
The Macquarie University Warriors beat the Bondi Shamrocks for the first time on Saturday. With the sides playing 16-a-side, the Warriors used the wide spaces of the University Oval on North Ryde more effectively. Amanda Farrugia and Emma McCelland each scoring 3 goals each to create the highest score ever by the Warriors.
