FSC FACILITY ADMINISTRATOR
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Facility Administrator
Football South Coast(FSC), based in the Illawarra, has close to 13,000 registered players and is currently seeking a Facility Administrator to manage tasks across the administration and management of Ian McLennan Park.
This newly created position is a rare and unique opportunity and we are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and self-driven individual to join our team to manage usage of this regional facility. Ian McLennan Park is currently undergoing major development which includes a new FIFA approved synthetic pitch, LED lighting across the facility and perimeter fencing.
It is a facility that will be used by many groups including FSC member clubs, schools and community groups and it is essential that we optimise the usage of the first synthetic pitch in the region to ensure community usage is maximised.
This is no ordinary role, and we are not looking for an ordinary candidate.This role requires someone who is equally as comfortable working strategically on the business, as you are rolling your sleeves up and getting involved in the day today operations and maintenance of the facility.
REPORTS TO: Principally to CEO/MD of Football South Coast.
Primary Accountabilities and Duties
Ensure compliance with user agreements to the facilityResponsibility for the implementation of a booking system
Mandatory Competencies
Proven strong administrative skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Proven ability to build, maintain and manage mutual relationships across a community
Demonstrated ability in “paying attention to detail”
Proven ability to manage and prioritise across a wide range of activities
Demonstrated willingness to work weekends/non-traditional hours as required for key events and games hosted by FSC
Knowledge of the structure and operation of sports competitions and administration
Proven or demonstrated knowledge of a facility management environment
Must hold a current drivers license
DesiredCompetencies
Sports Administration or Business Management – Tertiary/Formal Qualification
Knowledge of FSC Football Competitions- in at least one of the FSC Football Council Areas
Commercial and Financial proficiency, including business development
Demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing adiverse range of customers
Days
This is a part time role (approximately 20-30 hours per week) and given that the facility is open across weekdays, evenings and weekends, it is essential that you are flexible in how you are able to structure your working week.
Relationships
Internal: FSC Chairman, FSC Board of Directors and FSC staff
External: FSC Member Club representatives, Schools, Community Groups, Wollongong City Council
