ROUND 4 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Helping move the Red Dust Heelers to second place on the ladder with a sweep of the Sydney Metro Blues last weekend, Brad Ness is the Round 4 Player of the Week.

The role of player and coach has not diminished Ness’ ability this season as he recorded 31 points on Saturday before following that up with a triple-double on Sunday of 33 points, 17 rebounds and ten assists.

More than doubling any of the Blues’ in points in their first clash, Ness was even more dominant the next day as he played every minute of the contest, adding three steals and a block at the defensive end in a complete performance.

Opening up a 17-point lead at half-time, Ness had tallied 21 points by the main break.

Sydney Metro fought back to win the second half but the damage had been done with Ness’ dominance under the rim proving too much to overcome. His 16 defensive rebounds were just one shy of the Blues as a team.

Winning by an average of 13.5 points per game for the weekend, the Heelers now sit at 5-5 having the most amount of games in the league.
