McDonald's Thompson and Whelan Round Nine Preview

Round Nine is on tonight with 14 games taking place across Canterbury tonight (Christ’s College plays at Middleton Grange Friday 7:30pm)

In an early tip, Lincoln High hosts St. Margaret’s (4:00pm) and then the Cathedral Boys (5:40pm)

Cashmere School is where you can watch the Avonside Lady Eagles and Hillmorton Tigers (5:15pm) as well as a chance for Christchurch Boys’ to reclaim the Dowson Cup from Cashmere High (7:00pm). Other games tipping at these two times include Ashburton hosting Rangiora’s Whelan Trophy team, and the St. Bede’s Thompson Team, and St. Andrew’s hosting a double-header against Burnside.

Kaiapoi High’s Girls have a visit from Cashmere at 5:15pm in a game tipped to be very close, Rangi Ruru hosts Christchurch Girls’ in a rematch of last year’s final, Villa Maria has Ellesmere coming, and Shirley Boys’ has a home match against Rangiora.

7pm only has two single games this week – Linwood hosting the Ellesmere boys, and St. Thomas hosting Hillmorton.

In a catch-up game from Term Two, St. Andrew’s hosts the Rangi Ruru ladies at 4:30pm on Thursday.
