ROUND 17 MEN

Southern Tigers (11-5, 2nd) v North Adelaide Rockets (13-3, 1st)

In the Match of the Round, the Rockets can wrap up top spot and leave themselves one win away from the Grand Final, if they can defeat the Tigers at Morphett Vale.

In Round 16, the Rockets ran out 120-108 winners over South, while the Tigers beat Forestville 112-84.

Last time they met, the Rockets were on the right end of a 107-101 overtime thriller. Aric Miller scored 40 points for the Rockets, while Robert Linton had 24 for the Tigers.

 

Norwood Flames (10-6, 4th) v Sturt Sabres (11-5, 3rd)

The Sabres will have one paw on a top three finish and subsequent double chance, if they can extinguish the Flames at Campbelltown.

In Round 16, the Sabres blew out Woodville 85-55, while the Flames eclipsed Eastern 100-78.

Last time they met, the Sabres held on for an 87-81 victory. Jacob Rigoni scored 33 points for the Sabres, while Daniel Webber had 23 for the Flames.

 

Forestville Eagles (8-8, 6th) v West Adelaide Bearcats (10-6, 5th)

The Eagles have one final chance to save their finals hopes, when they host the Bearcats at Wayville.

In Round 16, the Eagles made it 10 losses from their last 13 games with their setback against Southern. The Bearcats boosted their standing with an 88-75 triumph at Centrals. As a result, the Bearcats are two games ahead of the Eagles with only two rounds to be played.

Last time they met, the Bearcats earned a potentially season-defining 95-91 victory. Darrius Oldham scored 26 points for the Bearcats, while Majok Deng had 25 for the Eagles.

 

South Adelaide Panthers (7-9, 7th) v Eastern Mavericks (1-14, 10th)

With their finals hopes finally shattered, the Panthers will be playing for a shot at sixth spot, when they welcome the Mavericks to Marion.

In Round 16, the Mavericks fell to North, while the Mavericks went down to Norwood.

Last time they met, the Panthers snuck home 84-78. Eian Davis scored 44 points for the Panthers, while Lachlan Barker had 20 for the Mavericks.

 

Woodville Warriors (6-10, 8th) v Central District Lions (2-13, 9th)

The Lions will be trying to overcome their bogey side, when they visit the Warriors at St Clair.

In Round 16, the Warriors were belted by Sturt, while the Lions failed to complete a sweep of West.

Last time they met, the Warriors pulled out a thrilling 92-89 win. Luke Stanbridge scored 22 points for the Warriors, while Koen Sapwell had 29 for the Lions.

 

Eastern Mavericks (1-14, 10th) v Central District Lions (2-13, 9th)

The Mavericks and Lions will play a catch-up game at Adelaide Hills on Sunday.

In Round 11, the Mavericks and Lions match at Murray Bridge was called off. This fixture will most probably decide the Wooden Spoon.

Last time they met, the Lions succeeded 85-69. Koen Sapwell scored 22 points for the Lions, while Lachlan Barker had 14 for the Mavericks.

 

 

WOMEN

Southern Tigers (13-3, 1st) v North Adelaide Rockets (12-4, 3rd)

In the Match of the Round, the Tigers will be playing for a seventh consecutive victory, when they welcome the Rockets to Morphett Vale.

In Round 16, the Tigers blew out Forestville 90-61, while the Rockets accounted for South 85-67.

Last time they met, the Tigers ran out 67-56 winners. Alexandra Green scored 16 points for the Tigers, while Opal Mader had 15 for the Rockets.

 

Norwood Flames (11-5, 4th) v Sturt Sabres (10-6, 5th)

The Sabres will be desperate for a victory to maintain their place in the top five, when they visit the Flames at Campbelltown.

In Round 16, the Sabres were too strong for Woodville 77-50, while the Flames were pipped by two points by Eastern.

Last time they met, the Flames were triumphant 62-54. Jessica Good scored 20 points for the Flames, while Hannah Richards had 14 for the Sabres.

 

Forestville Eagles (9-7, 6th) v West Adelaide Bearcats (6-10, 7th)

The Eagles face a must-win clash with the Bearcats at Wayville, as they attempt to keep their finals hopes alive.

In Round 16, the Eagles struggled against Southern, while the Bearcats were too good for Centrals 68-37.

Last time they met, the Eagles were successful 84-63. Samantha Defrancesco scored 28 points for the Eagles, while Ieva Nagy had 18 for the Bearcats.

 

South Adelaide Panthers (2-14, 9th) v Eastern Mavericks (13-3, 2nd)

The Mavericks will be vying to keep their Minor Premiership hopes alive, when they head to Marion to take on the Panthers.

In Round 16, the Mavericks snuck past Norwood 82-80, while the Panthers wer enot good enough for North.

Last time they met, the Mavericks registered a 71-58 victory. Alex Wilson scored 44 points for the Mavericks, while Teonna Campbell had 14 for the Panthers.

 

Woodville Warriors (3-13, 8th) v Central District Lions (1-15, 10th)

The Warriors will be seeking revenge, when they host the Lions at St Clair.

In Round 16, the Warriors were beaten by Sturt, while the Lions fell to West.

Last time they met, the Lions scored their only win of 2017, getting home comfortably 88-74. Rhianna Stringer scored 25 points for the Lions, while Jennifer Monroe had 27 for the Warriors.
