DIAMOND VALLEY EAGLES PROGRAM CONTINUES TO SHINE
In the representative Basketball landscape, 8 out of a possible 9 1st teams qualifying for Victorian Championship is an incredible achievement for any club in the State.
What if you had all 8 of those 9 then go on to qualify for finals in their respective competitions ?
Tip of the hat. Well done.
Then imagine if 6 of the 9 progress in the finals series to the final four and compete in preliminary finals as a minimum ?
Wow. Imagine that.
There’s no need to imagine it happening.
It just did.
Oh, and did we mention that 2 of those teams will compete for the ultimate prize this week. Eyes on the gold.
And we had a number of VJL and regional teams push deep into playoffs. Many in the final four. Some were the last team standing on the season's final day.
There are no short cuts to success.
The measured, diligent and prepared efforts of our players and coaches across the course of the past 12 months has lead our young athletes to here.
The supplementation of extra instruction, skill development and teaching conducted by our Academies, Programs and Holiday Camps helps us progress faster along our path to getting better.
The creation of fun, cooperation and joy in the game established by our domestic coaches and clubs lights the fire inside each generation of DV Basketballers.
The continual education of our domestic and rep coaches assists in keeping those that direct our athletes being informed, kept on top of best-practice techniques and filled with knowledge and confidence.
The parents, volunteers and support staff all do their bit to keep things ticking over, running to plan and accepting that their role is often thankless – but incredibly fulfilling and appreciated for achievements like this.
We all have a hand in the success of our club. We all play our part. We all can share in the joy of seeing the tangible growth of Diamond Valley Basketball.
There’s so much work that gets put in. There’s so much that will continue to be put in.
We are heading in the right direction and establishing more and more that we are living in a time where #DVdoesitbetter than ever.
