St Mary’s were able to bounce back from a big loss last week to hold on for a tight win against Uni Hill. Up by 9 at 3 quarter time, the Sharks had a slow start to the 4th quarter but were able to steady the ship and get the much needed win. Daniel Girolami at 22 points and Mark Scherf had 16 of his own in the win, while Evan Solokidis and Jason Hendry both had 24 points for Uni Hill.

8.00PM Greenhills Beavers 58 def. Redbacks 49

 

The Beavers were able to use a strong 4th quarter to get a win over the in-form Redbacks. Close all night, the Beavers were up by a single point going into the 4th quarter. A balanced scoring attack for the Beavers was led by Jeremy Datson’s 18 points (including three 3 point makes). Paul Meager, Andrew Boylen and Matt Tucker all had 10 points in the loss.

The Splashers were the first team to clinch a finals birth this season, with a closer-than-expected win over No Big Deal. Sam Whelan had the hot hand, with 22 points including 4 3-pointers, and was backed up by Bryson Norris’s 19. Ethan Adam had a big game for No Big Deal, finishing with 18 points.
