Eagles to Watch

Make sure to keep your eyes out for Diamond Valley teams wherever you are on Friday nights.
We check in with the coach of two teams to watch this week!

U12/1 Girls Diamond Valley

VC

Coach: Bruce Robinson

Friday 28th April
7.00pm CBS2

Our 12/1 Girls have found the going tough since grading in VC before Christmas, it has been a real test of their character.

Their determination to continue to develop their individual skills and learn the importance of working for each other will no doubt put them in a good position going into the next 5 weeks as they strive to stay in the VC group after round nine.

This Friday night we take on Keilor 1. We have played them once during the Australia Day tournament for a nice win but the Girls understand that counts for nothing going into Friday’s game. Our girls have been training extremely well over the past few weeks in order to give them every opportunity to come away with a good WIN. Come along on Friday night to experience these 10 amazing young girls, see how they play for each other and do Diamond Valley proud. Go Eagles!

U16/3 Boys Diamond Valley

VJL 4

Coach: Bas Allen

Friday 28th April

9.50pm DV2

Our team has been travelling well; we currently sit 3-0-1 and are sitting 2nd on the ladder. The boys have done a great job this season so far of executing the scout while maintaining composure on the court, we have a talented group of boys and I am extremely excited to share my knowledge of the game as we all look to get better throughout the season.

On Friday we play a well-balanced West Gate team who in grading beat us by 2 points on the buzzer from a half-court shot. We have had a great week preparing and scouting for the game. Hopefully we can come together and play to our strengths, execute the scout and continue to grow as a team and hopefully get a Win! Go Eagles
