THANK YOU, RYEN !

You saw him nailing 3s from the carpark for our Big V State Championship Men’s team and helping out around the club in our Academies, but for now Ryen Vilmont has boarded a plane home to Hamden, Connecticut to spend time with him family now that Big V season 2016 is completed.

Ryen is exploring playing opportunities in Europe, commencing in the near future, but for the moment will enjoy the time back home.

Ryen had this to say about his time at DV this season, ‘I enjoyed the family-like atmosphere at Diamond Valley. From our team, the players and coaches, to the fans, junior coaches and junior players that I got to meet – it made the experience a fun one, and one I am very thankful for. I enjoyed my first year of professional Basketball to the fullest’.

On behalf of the DVBA, we would sincerely like to thank Ryen for his efforts, on and off the court, for season 2016. Ryen got involved with our Academies and school holiday Northern Basketball Camps and the young athletes quickly warmed to him. We all wish Ryen the very best of luck on securing a contract in Europe !
