Spring 2016 NAB U08 Season Opener
Over 180 new and returning U08 boys and girls kicked off their season at the NAB Season Opener on Saturday 9th July. Representing 14 of our Junior Domestic Clubs, these future champions alongside their coaches, experienced a fun-filled and educational program, developed by CEO Ross Wignell and delivered by Diamond Valley’s Youth and Senior Championship Men and Women. The participants worked on a series of drills to improve their skills, focusing on passing techniques, body position, ball handling and shooting. Putting their new and improved skills into practice, the boys and girls wrapped up the session with a friendly game against their group.
NAB Representative Ben Broadbent attended the sessions and awarded the following players with a brand new basketball for their efforts on the day: Emmy Hanlan, Camryn Nauta, Zoe Braidwood, Campbell Bishop, Lyla Dillon, Grace Reid, Darcy Hook and Ruby Ramunno.
