Jason Van Hout receives Jagajaga community Australia Day Award

Last month, Diamond Valley Basketball Association’ Vice President, Jason Van Hout, received a 2019 Jagajaga Community Australia Day Award, which recognizes the efforts of an individual or group that selflessly volunteer their time to make the community a better place, and reside in the local community in an unpaid volunteering capacity. Jason was nominated by the Diamond Valley Basketball Association for his fantastic contribution and efforts at the club for many years.

“Jason has given countless hours of commitment and dedication to the Diamond Valley Basketball Association and this award is well deserved recognition; CEO Ross Wignell stated. “Not only has he been the Vice President of the Basketball Association for the past six years, Jason was heavily involved at the St. Helena Basketball Club for a lengthy period of time.He has played an integral role in the DVBA’s rise.”

Jason had this to say about receiving the nomination and award earlier this year;

“It was an honour to be nominated and to receive a Jagajaga Australia Day Award for my services to the Diamond Valley Basketball Association. Being involved in the DVBA has been a great experience that has allowed me to meet and work with many passionate people that have become good friends. There is a great satisfaction in seeing where we started and where we are now as an association.”

Congratulations Jason on your well-deserved achievement!
