SAPPHIRES WIN GOLD AT FIBA U17 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
An incredible feat was achieved by our Australian U17 Women - the 'Sapphires', at the FIBA U17 World Championships this past weekend. The Sapphires overcame all challengers, including the USA to win gold with an average winning margin of 23 points at the tournament.
The Australians featured no less than 6 Victorians, from both Metro and Country, showing the might of the development that our local clubs and coaches give to these hard working, young athletes.
