Diamond Valley Eagles SEABL Men’s team have made their final import signing for the 2018 season with former University of California player, Mike Best coming on board.

Mike Best completed his senior season at California in 2016, starting in 37 games averaging 9.8 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game whilst shooting at 48.1% from the field. In the 2016 College Insider Postseason Tournament (CIT), Mike was a standout averaging 13.3 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and 2.0 blocks per game, earning himself a position in the CIT All-Tournament team for 2016.

Coach Grant Wallace is absolutely thrilled with the signing.

“Mike comes to us highly recommended and provides us with a great inside/outside game and an exceptional ability to run the floor and finish the break.  More importantly Mike will be able to protect our rim and defend the opposition bigs.”  

Standing at 208 centimetres, Mike’s professional career begun in 2016 and has stemmed across Cyprus and Ukraine. Mike will be a nightmare for oppositions to contain with his ability in the open court and his great shooting from close to the basket and from the perimeter.

Mike will be arriving at the nest early next year in time for our Media Day.
