CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GIRLS 16/3s
Congratulations to our Under 16 (3) Girls who won the Grand Final in the B1 Division at the Australia Day tournament - Rachel Beattie, Adele Burn, Stephanie Francis, Crystal Grech, Kelsea McGougan, Erin Milton, Kyla Parry, Jayde Popovski, Rachel Watt and Chiara Xerri.
The girls were in an extremely tough division and playing teams that started the season ranked well ahead of them. The girls competed hard in every match and played their 2 finals in tough conditions at Donvale Stadium in 35 degree heat with no cooling in the venue.
In the semi final the girls turned around a close loss in the pool matches with a win over Camberwell and then returned less than 3 hours later in the same tough conditions to score a very exciting 27-24 win over a quality team Waverley 2.
Thanks to our parents for the fantastic support during the tournament and to other Eagles coaches, staff & players many of whom came to support us in the grand final. Big thanks to our tireless team manager Nadine Popovski for her efforts across the whole weekend.
Well done girls, you earned every single bit of your success!
