Eagles Reappoint State Youth Championship Coaches for 2013

The Diamond Valley Basketball Association is pleased to announce the re-signing of TREVOR LEE as Head Coach of the State Youth Championship Men and ANDREW WHITE as Head Coach of the State Youth Championship Women.

Assistant Operations Manager Nick Todorov said the Club was more than happy with the results of both the Men’s and Women’s State Youth Championship teams in 2012 and the re-appointments were a ‘no brainer’.

“Both Trevor and Andy have achieved outstanding results in 2012, not only for their respective teams, also with a number of players from both teams nominated for individual awards” Todorov stated.

Looking forward to 2013, Trevor Lee was upbeat and ready to commence the offseason process.

“It’s my job to make the players better and prepare them to take the next step in their basketball career. Winning Championships and making finals is a bonus. We had a fantastic regular season and were the leaders of the competition. 2013 will be an exciting year with a few of our players moving to the State Championship side, and a few players making the transition from VJBL into the Big V. ” he said

Additionally the Club is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Andrew White as the Head Coach of the State Youth Championship Women.

“Just glad to be given the opportunity to coach DV again and I am really looking forward to another year of development. The core group will remain together and I look forward to taking the next step with them, after the success we had in 2012” White stated.

Todorov was quick to add; “DV has a proud history in developing good players with great fundamentals and skills and both Trevor and Andrew contribute to this”.

Try outs for both the Men and Women State Youth Championship Teams will be announced shortly.
