Diamond Valley Announces The SEABL Women's Coach for 2018
The DVBA is pleased to announce Zoe Carr as the head coach of the Diamond Valley SEABL women’s team for their inaugural season in 2018.
Carr, a coach within our junior program, takes the reins of our SEABL program having had experience coaching within the league. After 2 years of assisting in SEABL and a year as head coach of the Melbourne Tigers SEABL women in 2017, she returns home excited by the opportunity to coach for Diamond Valley.
“I loved the Melbourne Tigers and I can’t thank them enough for the opportunity they gave me. But Diamond Valley is my home and I can’t wait to be able to represent them as a coach at SEABL level. To be able to head coach the only team in the northern Melbourne region is very special.”
Having recently coached the U18 Diamond Valley women and assisted with the U18 Diamond Valley men, lead U20 Vicorian Women’s State team in February to a gold medal and the Melbourne Tigers in SEABL, Zoe brings a lot of knowledge to the table.
“ Having Zoe head up the Diamond Valley Women’s program is a bonus in many ways. Zoe brings enthusiasm, knowledge of the league and it’s players as well as what type of roster it takes to compete and win at this level.” Alan McAughtry, Director of Coaching of the Diamond Valley Basketball Association said. “Having coached at club level, state level and now at a senior level shows her commitment to Diamond Valley, a willingness to continue to develop as a coach and a passion to work with our junior program.”
Open trials for the SEABL and Youth League women will be announced shortly.
