Big V Wrap - Round 6

 

It was a tough weekend for our Eagles, with only our Youth League Women’s team coming away with a win. Come down to support our Eagles this Saturday night to get them over the line.

Our VYCW had a challenging weekend finishing with 1 win and 1 loss. They were outplayed by an exceptional Altona team, 91 – 64, with Sian Gilliam with another brillian showing with a game high 22 points and 8 rebounds. The girls than hit the road to Ballarat and managed to get a big win 63 – 53. Chloe Hildebrand brought her A game finishing with 16 points. Our VYCW will be looking to get 2 wins this weekend starting with Hume City @ DV 6pm and than hitting the road to play against the Bendigo Braves @ Bendigo 12pm.

Our VYCM came up short against the undefeated Bulleen Boomers,  68- 53. Cameron Conlon fought valiantly with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Our VYCM have a big weekend coming up with their first game against the Hawthorn Magic this Saturday night @ DV 8pm and on Sunday playing against Altona Gators @ Altona 1pm.

Our SCW went down to the undefeated Sunbury Jets 78 – 57 on Saturday night, showing us why they are the team to beat this season. Katie Oliver continued her strong form with 15 points and 7 rebounds, while Kasey Burton shot well with 13 points. Our SCW will be looking to turn their season around against the Ringwood Hawks this Saturday night @ Ringwood 6pm.

Our SCM went down to Ringwood Hawks, 92 -88. Matt Reynolds was on fire with 31 points, while Ray Sanders continued his form with 19 points. Our SCM will be looking to get a win on their road trip in action against Corio Bay on Sunday @ Geelong 12pm.
