FENNELL SIGNS ON FOR 2014 SEASON
The Diamond Valley Eagles are proud to announce the signing of Forward Matt FENNELL for the 2014 Big V season.
Matt is averaging a career best 21 ppg @ 51% from the field, 35% from the 3 point line and 73% from the free throw line. He is also averaging a team and career high 12 rebounds per game including a league leading 4.2 offensive rebounds per game.
“Matt is a superstar – his work ethic and determination are second to none in this league. He is having a career year in every category and he should be in every conversation about the league MVP and All Star team this year,” said Eagles Coach Warren ESTCOURT. “He is constantly going up against taller, more fancied opponents but week after week, game after game, he delivers at an efficient clip for forty minutes every night.”
“I just want to come back to DV and finish what we started this year. We have a great group and I want to make the finals next year and play for a Championship,” said FENNELL. “We have made some progress this year and now we know what it takes to win at this level and where we have to improve.”
“Matt is the first and most important piece for our team for next year. Now that he is signed we can go after a legitimate Centre to help us on the boards and anchor our interior defense,” said ESTCOURT.
