Civic League Wrap - Round 3

The third round of our Ultimate Civic League has been completed with the same three teams not registering a loss for the season so far. The depth of the competition is rising each week with several players returning from their Big V commitments. This week is sure to stir up the competition with our top 4 teams playing off against one another.

Round 3 Results:

6.10PM St. Mary’s Sharks 57 v Uni Hill 62

Our first game for the week was a closely fought game with both teams having players return from the Big V competition. Uni Hill have shown the competition their full potential with players, Ernst Kruger and Lucas Sovleski, returning and showing their ability with a combined 30 points on the night. The undersized Sharks threw everything they had but had no match for the bigger bodied Uni Hill. Tom Boek had a game he will want to remember with 15 points including 3 3’s.

Top performers:

Ernst Kruger (Uni Hill)

Thomas Boek (St. Mary’s Sharks)

Lucas Sovleski (Uni Hill)

7.05PM Dream Team 51 v Wolves 36

Dream Team having continued their strong start this season with another high scoring performance to get them their 3rd win. The Wolves again competed throughout the game but the ability of Scott Dowell and Tony Hogg kept the Dream Team ahead throughout. James Cox gave a great contribution for the Wolves with 11 points including 3 3’s. If the competition has not realised yet, Scott Dowell is dominating and to stop the Dream Team a big part of it will be shutting down Scott.
