Big V Wrap - Round 10
Our VYCW had a tough night against the Sandringham Sabres going down 74 - 44. Chelsea Ford was a shining light, with a solid all-round game, racking up 8 points, 6 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 steals. Luckily our girls are still clinging onto 4th spot on the ladder. Let’s hope they can get back on the winner's list this Sunday at DV against the Knox Raiders from 12 pm.
Saturday night proved to be a fierce battle for our SCW, the girls fought hard but couldn't get across the line going down 76 - 66. Kate Oliver continued her stellar season with another double-double, scoring 22 points with 10 rebounds to go. Our SCW will be in action again this Sunday at DV from 2 pm, taking on the Southern Peninsula Sharks.
In the SCM department, the boys continued their hot streak picking up their 3rd win in a row as they took down the Hume City Broncos 81 - 62. In a massive team effort from the boys, Ray Sanders was a standout with 26 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals to his name, while Brandon Conley was influential accumulating 17 points and 5 rebounds.
We look forward to seeing the Eagle Army in full force this Sunday @DV as our VYCW & SCW take the court in two important games.
